BST’s fame stems from its flame effects which are a staple part of its repertoire. BST has been designing and manufacturing flame effects for over 20 years; primarily for the theme park industry, but more recently for the concert and theatrical markets.

In the past few years the concert and theatrical industries have seen a decrease in the use of pyro and an increase in the use of flame effects. BST have kept pace with this demand by designing a range of flame effects particularly for this application.

The range of flame effects produced by BST is now vast and uses a range of media including; propane and natural gas, LPG (liquid petroleum gas – used in its liquid form), kerosene, isopariffinics and more recently alcohol (ethanol) based mediums for coloured flames.

BST flame effects are designed and built in England and manufactured to British Standards (BS EN regulations) and can be CE certified if required. When BST effects are used there is the assurance that they are safe, fit for purpose and fully compliant to all regulations.

Our flames can be used to create fireballs (the typical mushroom-cloud effect seen on TV and movies) and streamers of fire (columns) from just a few centimetres to over 10m in height. Fire-on-water is also a popular effect as are small stage props that catch on fire on cue for dark rides and other theme park attractions.
